All I will say about the song here is that it is very close to my heart, as it is linked to my father’s passing in March, which was anything but a peaceful death, and recording it a couple of weeks ago was not easy as it meant I had to revisit those emotions.
Whenever I played it live, it was such an intense moment, and I know it was for many people too, as you told me so afterwards.
As I selected the shelters and rescue organizations, I realized more than ever the parallel between human lives and animal ones when it comes to the worst cases of abuse, disease, old age, neglect, abandonment, invisibility and now climate disasters such as fires, floods, earthquakes, and of course war.
In the middle of war in Gaza, Sulala Animal Rescue take care of dogs and cats, but also donkeys and horses.
In Bangalore, ALAI Animal Lives Are Important help dogs with severe mobility issues and disability due to accidents, abuse, neurological conditions and old age; they have a palliative unit and also take care of larger animals.
In Bali, Little Steps Matter’s main focus is on dogs with severe injuries and skin conditions.
Near Girona, Spain, Fundación Santuario Gaia are home to more than 500 rescued farm animals, escaping neglect and death thanks to the sanctuary.
I am hoping to raise at least 500$ today so that I can distribute this to these 4 incredible organizations.
I really hope you will join me in this new round of this initiative with which we already raised 2200$, to help our fellow sentient beings on this planet, at a moment that feels particularly urgent and crucial.

As for the HUMANITARIAN fundraising, I think I will let the fundraising speak for itself, I really hope we can add a little something to the 3400$ we already raised together: #8 DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS GAZA FUND (Médecins sans Frontières – Medicos sin Fronteras).
